Resort Policies & Services
  • What time is check-in?

    Check in time begins at 4:00 pm. Early check in time is permitted if room is ready upon arrival but cannot be guaranteed. Contact the hotel directly on the day of arrival at 843-913-1333 to ask about the possibility of checking in prior to 4:00pm. The Hotel front desk is staffed 24 hours daily to accept check-ins.

  • How old do you have to be to check-In?

    21 years of age.

  • What time is check-out?

    Check out time is at 11:00am.

  • Are there any additional fees?

    Nightly rates do not include taxes or resort fees. Please add additional 13% room sales tax and 15% resort fee per room, per night. All fees may change without notice.

  • What’s included in the resort fee?

    The prevailing resort fee will apply to all nightly guest room rates. Currently the Hotel resort fee is 15% of nightly room rate. The Marina Inn at Grande Dunes is pleased to offer guests a number of services inclusive in the Resort Fee:
    – Secluded Beach Access incl. Chairs/Towels/Umbrellas/F&B Service/Transportation (Seasonal)
    – Valet or Self Parking
    – Wireless Internet Access throughout Hotel
    – Daily Housekeeping Service
    – Welcome Bottled Water
    – Kids Eat Free

  • What is the deposit policy?

    – Memorial Day Weekend – Labor Day Weekend: Reservations that include a Friday/Saturday travel day require a deposit equal to one night’s room rate, resort fee & sales tax at the time of booking. For reservations that do not include a Friday/Saturday travel day, a credit card guarantee will be required to secure reservation.

    – September 1 – May 31: Reservation will not be assessed a deposit, but will require credit card authorization to secure reservation.

    – All “Package” reservations will be assessed a one night’s room rate, resort fee and sales tax regardless of travel dates. All “Advance Purchase” reservations will be assessed a one night deposit regardless of travel dates. “Groups” or “Special Events” may require an alternate deposit policy.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    – June 1 through August 31:All reservations require a 3-day prior to arrival cancellation equal to one night room, resort fee & tax. Failure to notify the hotel of cancellation will result in forfeited deposit.

    – September 1 through May 31:All reservations will carry a 24hr prior to arrival cancellation policy. Any cancellations within 24hr will result in a penalty equal to one night room, resort fee and tax.

    – “Groups” or “Special Events” may require an alternate deposit policy.

  • What is your pet policy?

    No pets are permitted on the property. Only service animals as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted and must be under the handler’s control at all times. Emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals are not considered service animals under the ADA, and we do not allow these on-premises. Guests violating this policy will be charged a minimum $250 cleaning fee and asked to leave the property. Our team follows the ADA guidelines described in the ADA 2010 Revised Requirements: Service Animals.

  • What is your smoking policy?

    We are a smoke-free property. Smoking is not permitted in any accommodation type, including on the balcony. Fees starting at $300 will be assessed if smoking occurs in the accommodation. Smoking is also not allowed in any public areas inside or outside including the pool areas.

  • What are Quiet Hours? 

    To ensure all guests can enjoy a relaxing night’s sleep without interruption, please adhere to “Quiet Hours” between 10:00pm – 7:00am. During this time, all guests are expected to keep noise levels to a minimum to avoid disturbing others. This includes activities such as loud conversations, loud music and/or TV or large gatherings or activities that may create excessive noise levels.

  • How to book a room reservation?

    If you would like to book accommodations, the best option is to go directly to our website at

  • What type of rooms are available?

    A variety of room types are available to accommodate from 2 to 9 people including the Grande Guest Room; Studio, Studio Deluxe and Mediterranean Club Mini Suites; Two & Three Bedroom Full Suites and a Four Bedroom Penthouse.

  • What kitchen supplies are included in the Suites/Penthouse?

    Our suites and penthouse are fully stocked with silverware, utensils, cookware and appliances.

    Here are some additional items you may wish to bring with you during your stay: Paper towels and/or napkins, extra laundry detergent and/or fabric softener, Ziploc bags, foil, and/or saran wrap, specialty cookware.

  • Is breakfast included in the room rate?

    Breakfast is not included in the room rate. Full breakfast menu is available at WaterScapes Restaurant from 6:30am – 11:00am or in Reflections Coffee featuring Starbucks from 6:30am – 11:00am.

  • Where is the resort located?

    We are easily accessible inside the luxurious Grande Dunes Resort on the Grande Dunes Marina. Located between Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach within a five minute drive to shopping, dining, nightlife and attractions including Barefoot Landing and Tanger Outlet, golf courses, nightclub and comedy club and several restaurants from casual to upscale.

  • What is the nearest airport & how far away is it?

    The Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) is served by several well-known carriers that offer direct and connecting flights each day from the city of Myrtle Beach to more than 350 destinations, with 50 direct connections. MYR is an easy 11 miles and a quick 20 minute ride.

  • Do you provide airport transportation?

    We do not provide transportation to/from MYR. Several cab services estimated for a cab fare of $46.00 one way and ride share programs estimated at $35.00 one way. All major car rental agencies are available at MYR.

  • Where is the resort’s beach & how do I get there?

    Easily accessible by a short five minute hotel shuttle ride from the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes. Please check shuttle “Hours of Operation” for availability.

  • What is included at the resort’s beach access?

    Our unique private section of the beach offers solitude not found at other Myrtle Beach resort! Services include beach umbrellas, chairs and towels, lifeguard service, food and beverage service showers, changing rooms, and full facilities are provided for hotel guests. These services are available seasonally. Please check “Hours of Operation”.

  • What are the resort’s beach hours of operation?

    The beach access is open to our guests year round. However, the resort’s full beach services are available seasonally. Please check the Beach Services “Hours of Operation”.

  • Can I park my vehicle at the beach access?

    There is no public parking available at the resort’s beach access. Our Resort’s shuttle is available upon request and availability will vary based on season.

  • Where does the Hotel shuttle go?

    The Marina Inn’s Hotel shuttle is available upon request for transportation within the Grande Dunes Resort including the Beach Access, Tennis Center and the Resort Course at Grande Dunes golf course.

  • What activities are onsite?

    The Marina Inn at Grande Dunes offers several upscale amenities for the entire family including private access beach, in-room spa services, indoor/outdoor pools, sauna, fitness facility and a variety of games on the lawn. The Grande Dunes Resort features the 18-hole Resort Course at Grande Dunes, full service Grande Dunes Tennis Club, the Grande Dunes Marina featuring pontoon & jet ski watersport rentals, winding bike/run/bike trails.

  • What are the outdoor pool/hot tub hours of operation?

    Open year round, daily from 6:00am – 10:00pm.

  • Do you have a fitness center onsite?

    Our fitness center, indoor pool and sauna is available year round, 24 hours daily and features the latest Life Fitness equipment including treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals, universal pulley and free weights.

  • What spa services do you offer?

    We offer a variety massage therapy options. All services take place in the privacy of your guest room or suite. Our services do not include manicures or pedicures. If you would like to secure a massage session, please contact concierge@marinainngrandedunes.com.

  • What are onsite dining options?

    Year round dining: The Marina Inn at Grande Dunes features (3) dining options with indoor/outdoor seating that are open daily, year round. Our full service restaurant, WaterScapes Restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner; Reflections Coffee proudly featuring Starbucks® coffee products and light breakfast choices. Reflections Kitchen & Bar is a casual setting serving lunch, dinner with signature cocktails, beer & wine. Our in-room dining services are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a variety of dining choices. Children’s menu, gluten free and vegetarian menu options available.

    Seasonal dining: Our Pool Bar and Beach Cabana is open seasonally from April – September featuring casual dining fare and drinks. Days and hours of operation vary depending on season. Visit Pool Bar and Beach Cabana for specific dates and hours of operation.

    Additional dining at Grande Dunes: Ruths Chris Steakhouse, one of the more revered steak houses in the country, is located beside the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes and is open daily offering exquisite dinner options and cocktails. The locals favorite, the Anchor Café, open seasonally from April – October, is located on the marina serving casual dining fare and signature cocktails, beer and wine overlooking the Grande Dunes Marina. Visit Anchor Café for specific dates and hours of operation. Additional casual dining is available at Grande Dunes Marketplace including Ducati’s Pizza.

  • Do you allow outside catering?

    Outside catering is not allowed to be brought into any of the public areas or meeting/event space of the resort including the indoor/outdoor pool. If you would like to arrange a catering event or rent event space, please contact our catering department at 843-913-1338 or marinainnatgrandedunes@gmail.com or SUBMIT EVENT REQUEST.

  • Is outdoor grilling allowed?

    Outdoor grilling is not allowed on any area of the premises.

  • Do you have Lost & Found?

    The resort is not responsible for the loss of any personal items or valuables. Safety deposit boxes are available upon request. If you feel you left something behind, REPORT LOST ITEM HERE. Upon submission, you will receive further instructions.

  • Can I arrive by boat? How can I book dock space?

    Yes, you can arrive by boat at the Grande Dunes Marina located on the Intracoastal Waterway at Mile Marker 357. You may check dock space availability by contacting the Grande Dunes Marina directly at https://www.grandedunesmarina.com or contact the Grande Dunes Marina directly at 843.913.8530.

  • Is photography allowed?

    The Marina Inn at Grande Dunes is a private property and maintains a strict policy against the use of hotel grounds for unauthorized professional or commercial photography purposes. Professional photography will be allowed if approved by the Marketing Director for the purposes of media coverage, social media content creators and influencers and contracted events, meetings or weddings. For the safety and privacy of our guests, drone photography is not allowed except for pre-approved instances of specific events. General footage for professional photography purposes of the resort is not allowed.

    Personal & amateur photography & videography is encouraged so long as the images and videos are used for personal, non-commercial purposes.
