These days Myrtle Beach is alive all year round. Rather than having a high season and off season, the Grand Strand has more of a high season and a season “light”. In any event, Myrtle Beach will be booming as we usher in the New Year, and Marina Inn at Grande Dunes truly has the best party (and best deal) in town!
Our Annual New Year’s Eve event begins at 7:30 p.m. on December 31 with an hour long lavish reception consisting of butler passed hors d’oeuvres, a grand seafood display featuring crab claws, jumbo shrimp and cocktail oysters, and premium spirits and select wines will be served as well. Following the reception, guests will move into the Nautilus ballroom to enjoy a meticulously presented four course meal created by Executive Chef, Byron Bondoc. Dance the night away to the sounds of the Grand Strand’s own, Tim Clark Band, and welcome 2020 with a traditional New Year’s celebration at midnight complete with balloon drop!
Admission for the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes Annual New Year’s Eve event is $139 per person which includes all food and beverages for the night, live entertainment, and party favors. Want to simply take the elevator home? Starting at just $400 per couple, you can attend the New Year’s Eve reception, dinner and party, and enjoy luxury accommodations for the night at Marina Inn at Grande Dunes. Reservations for the New Year’s Eve event must be made in advance by calling 843-913-1333. Click here to make your New Year’s Eve package/accommodations reservations or to check for availability.
Perhaps you’d like to ring in the New Year in Myrtle Beach, but do your own thing for the night…no problem! Here are a few suggestions for celebrating New Year’s Eve in Myrtle Beach:
You’ve heard of New Year’s Eve in Times Square and the ball drop, but how about watching an enormous disco ball drop in Myrtle Beach to ring in 2020? Market Common is once again hosting its “A Southern Times Square” to usher in 2020. This outdoor festival is an ultimate block party with revelers gathering to enjoy live music, food, and libations. Inflatables, street performers and activities will be available for younger party goers as well. Just before midnight, everyone joins together at Valor Park to watch as the sparkly, shiny ball is lowered. When the clock strikes midnight, a massive fireworks display will illuminate the sky. It all begins at 9 p.m.
Didn’t make it to Nights of a Thousand Candles? Not to worry, enjoy a similar experience on New Year’s Eve. Walk through the magical gardens illuminated by hand lit candles and holiday lights while music plays in the background. Light refreshments will also be available for purchase. This event only runs from 6-9 p.m., so perhaps venture to the nearby Murrells Inlet MarshWalk to finish out the night and ring in 2020!
Visit the “Seafood Capital of South Carolina” for a New Year’s Eve feast, and stay for live entertainment. Enjoy the many levels of dining from casual to fine dining. Many MarshWalk restaurants will be offering dinner and drink specials for New Year’s Eve. Take a stroll down the MarshWalk after dinner and take in the various live music offerings. Rest assured, you’ll be in good company when 2020 arrives!
In addition to the New Year’s Eve celebrations listed above, there are also several fireworks displays on tap for welcoming 2020!
